While most air purifiers use small prefilters with particle efficiencies well below 20%, the large, commercial-sized super-efficient IQAir PreMax prefilter typically retains over 90% of coarse and fine dust. The PreMax prefilter is thus the most efficient pre-filter of any household air purifier, allowing the Hyper-HEPA filter and V5-Cell to last up to 5 times longer than similar filters in ordinary air purifiers.
V-5 Cell Gas and Odor Filter – F2 – Replace approximately every 2 years (based on average daily usage of 10h on speed 3)*
Patented V5 filtration provides the best solution for gas and odor elimination. The V5 filter combines two types of media – one that adsorbs odors and gases, and another media that changes the pollutant to an oxidized form. Granular activated carbon adsorption eliminates volatile organic compounds (VOC), which are responsible for odors. Pelletized chemisorption destroys harmful chemicals such as formaldehyde by an oxidation process inside a chemically active alumina pellet.
Hyper-HEPA Filter – F3 – Replace approximately every 4 years (based on average daily usage of 10h on speed 3)*
